I almost had an idiot in Oregon do this to my 350. BTW, Jersey gas may be cheaper than NY, but I paid $3.68 for premium last night at Racetrac here in Atlanta.

Wow forgot you have such low Octane over there, our basic stuff over here is 95 and super is 98 or 99 depending on brand!
Wouldn't worrry though, short of a drop in power while you burn through the fuel you shouldn't have any problems.

I forget that almost every time I'm in NJ. Most times, I could be in and out of the station, long before the person remembers to come back to my car.
Interestingly enough, I ran into a station with this rule in Northern MD on a trip back from NJ, one time. The attendant was staring me down, genuinely upset that I had been filling my own gas.

I think the way the US rates their fuel is different from the UK and in Australia. The US 91 is equivalent I think to the premium fuel we get in Australia which is labelled 95.

prolonged use of regular is horrible for our cars due to the 11.8:1 compression ratio......keep putting regular and eventually youll get detonation and a nice hole in one of your pistons........
