Im the K&N intake, w/muff delete. It really should not have been a car length due to me getting out a 1/2 second early each time in his car. His still would've pulled away though. Mine is really missing that low end torque it seems. I did an ecu reset last night and I'll check n clean the maf sensor and well run it again. I'll put it back to stock air box w/JoeZ intake next week as well and we'll prob run it again.

Could be that your car just puts out more power, from the factory, each car puts out different power maybe yours put down more then normal?

Ya something like that. Thats where I think you'll really see the difference. If the K&N is making less power, you should be able to realize where in the power band from a roll.

I've had the K&N intake on my car and switched to the Joe Z and really did feel a difference, especially when the weather was warm outside. "Sluggish" is exactly how it felt with the K&N intake

Ok, so I put a new stock air box in combined with a JoeZ intake. It is definitely feels like its breathing better, and that I've gained some low end torque. We didn't go head to head but we did switch cars real quick. I can hear a difference with his dual stage air kicking in compared to mine. His has a very distinct sound (muffled yet tuned growl) when it opens up, where mine sounds a little more wide open(sporty scream). I'm not sure if that has to do w/my muffler delete changing the airflow or not. We'll run em in a couple of weeks when we're both not out of town. I would post some pics but apparently my account says I don't have that kind of authorization, lol!
