'08 ISF (Joe-Z intake) vs '08 ISF (K&N intake, muffler delete)
Just a quick note. One of my best friends and I put our ISFs against each other tonight. 3 rounds from 0 to ~ 115mph. Results: Joe-Z - 3, K&N + muffler delete - 0. And it wasn't close. 1-2 car lengths each time.
His was louder and meaner sounding, mine was faster. Just an fyi for those considering intake mods. I drove his afterwards, and it just felt sluggish. You could feel the power was there, but it just wouldn't go.
Sorry for no vids, but it was just him and me so concentration was on driving only.
Side note: his is lowered as well and the cornering difference was night and day!! Definitely looking forward to installing my springs and sway bar kit soon!

He ran my car in Sport/Auto each time while I ran his twice in Sport/Auto and once in Sport/Manual. Manual was actually the worst run... I ran each gear to 6800-7000 rpm (i.e. near redline), so unless that's not the proper shift timing, I'm not sure why that run was the worst.
Intake only w/ stock air box and filter
Definitely want the exhaust though!
He and I both read all over CL regarding the intakes, and the majority of the reading indicated lost power from the K&N. I read something on here that the muffler delete maybe added slight hp gains.

The cone shaped intakes for this car not only heat soak, but they mess with the car's AFR readings.
Until the car can be properly tuned, these intakes are just wasted potential.
Joe-z intake utilizes a DI filter, and all it does is smooth out the air flow.
It's like an upgraded stock
Although I didn't do many conclusive tests, I do have firsthand experience and have done a lot of research.
