Eneos Synthetic Oil

And I counter with this:
This is MY engine after 62k miles (100k km) including track use and daily driving with 12k mile (20k km) OCI. Honestly, as ugly as the BMW engines look, until they clog the VANOS valves, the engines work fine. They also make it through warranty in most cases at minimal cost to BMW and Mercedes (which is what they are using as success criteria, not the actual cleanliness of the engine because they're on the hook for maintenance and they're going to keep it as cheap as possible because the majority of cars won't look like ming's pictures.)

^^^Wow, those images are ugly. That is just total neglect of the owner. I bet they go 25K and beyond with hard driving. I mean, there is some value in just pulling out the dipstick every once in a while and checking the color of the oil, etc. The motor temp should've been getting hot too.

No truer words have ever been said. One of the reasons my engine looks so good is because I drive 19 miles each way to work almost daily, and hardly ever drive less than 20 miles when I go somewhere, so the oil gets up to temperature and the water (and acids) boil out of it to keep it in good shape.
