Dammit, I just got these 2 codes! I installed my PPE headers around 3,800 miles ago and my car has been running great. Today I noticed my car louder than usual, while driving it (morning, afternoon, night) I thought that my exhaust might be leaking, hence the increase in noise. Just when I was getting close to home the CEL light came on. I have a scanner so I immediately checked the codes and got P0139 and P0159. I cleared the codes so let's see what comes next, hopefully nothing. I'll be checking the exhaust this weekend for leaks.

You guys are getting me nervous. I have PPE headers sitting in my garage - haven't gotten them installed yet and now I'm thinking I should go sikky. Sigh... I might just wait on headers until next year now.

Sucks you guys are having these issues. That is one of the reasons I'm not touching this car.

If we had the ability to tune the ECU to remove the check for these codes, it would be a much different ball game

The only common problem with ppe headers is the O2 sensor might go bad. Either the mileage of the vehicle, or whichever, but in juanca case it wasn't.

I actually have p0156 and p0159 codes throwing today. Im at 48k miles on my car and i will be purchasing the walker sensor.

BTW do i need 2 walker sensor? should i just replace both? or just 1?

I cleared the codes right away... and totally forgot about them! It's been a few hundred miles since then, my car is running strong as usual and no codes have been displayed so far. I'll recheck my exhaust anyway because I feel the car louder than before, right from the day I got the codes.

Try to reset the codes. Your ok to drive it, but your car is going to be in limp mode with the CEL.

Dennis in SD will buy it off from you. I brought 2 extra walker sensor. Just in case the one on my car strip, but it came out fine. So he just bought it from me.
