Property Taxes
Having a nice car is great but... I received my Virginia property tax bill in the mail today totaling $1954 for the 2012 ISF.
Brutal.
It's times like this I question luxury purchases. Anyone else have that feeling?

WTF.... that is ridiculous. I get pissed off having to renew my tag every year @ $100 per car. I'd consider moving out of Virginia if I had to pay that bill annually for three cars.

Plus the property tax on my house, but I think most states have that.
Did I mention I get to pay this every year? Although it goes down some based on the value of the car.

That tax wouldn't be needed if this country didn't blow 52% of the budget on military and wars.

Sounds like were done here unless you want to move this to the debate forum.

Most of us pay property tax on our vehicles. In most eastern states it is billed as a separate item usually by the county you reside in. In the West it is included in the price you pay for your registration and tags. The cost of the registration is based on the valuation of the vehicle. The registration cost for vehicles in states with a personal property tax is a flat fee, usually very low. If you itemize your income tax, these taxes are a deduction.
