Default Pics of Mercury Gray??

Hi guys,

I'm located in the Middle East and I'm thinking of taking the plunge and ordering a 2012 IS-f.

Now I'm having a hard time choosing a colour.

I don't want white since my current car is white.

I don't want black because it's too dark and I don't want red.

So from the brochure the only interesting colours left are the following:

- Premium Silver CS (IF2)
- Mercury Gray MC (1H9)
- Blue ME (8U1)

Now the only colour I could find on the internet and forums has been the premium silver.

But the Mercury Gray and Blue ME I have not been able to find.

Does anyone even know if these colour exist?

I'm guessing the the Blue ME (8U1) would be similar to the Ultra Blue (8U1) since they have the same colour code.

But I can't find the Mercury Gray MC (1H9) I would have thought it'll be similar to the Cadoxton Slate (1G0) or the Dark Grey Metallic that you guys have in the states.

But I really want to find a picture of a Mercury Gray MC (1H9) if anyone has any idea how that looks?

Also I find it odd that for different regions of the world the colour options are so different, could be down to weather etc..

After a bit more searching I've managed to find this:

http://www.lexus.com.au/ct200h/style/colours

Kinda shows you how the colour looks but it's not like an actual picture under the sun to show you how the colour will really look.

Any real pics of Mercury Gray (1H9) would be appreciated. I'm guessing it's similar to the Nebula Grey you guys have in the states, I'm just not sure if it's identical.

From here:

1H9 is Nebula Gray Pearl, a new color for 2012:
(Flipside909's pic, obviously)

1G0 is Smoky Granite Mica, aka Dark Gray Mica. It's more of a charcoal grey. This color was in production til 2011. In 2012 it was replaced by 1H9. Here's my car:

You already know 8U1 is Ultrasonic Blue:

Mercury Metallic (1F2) is a typical silver:

awesome thanks dude,

Also found this: http://forum.clublexis.com/viewtopic.php?pid=180996

Says that Nebula Gray Pearl in the U.S is the same as Mercury Grey

After seeing the pics I think I'll be going with Nebula Grey/Mercury Grey with Red/black interior

I saw the Nebula Gray Pearl in person...doesn't look as good in person as it does in that photo by Flipside909...just my opinion though.

Yeah I agree especially if it's at night or in a dark location.

The thing is I live in KSA, now here we have sun 24/7 with 0 rain, so the car will be in bright locations most of the time.

White looks awesome on the F BUT I've owned an Ivory Pearl G35 sedan for the past 4 years and I want a change.

I don't want black or Red because you can hardly see the body structure and the curves plus its probably the worst colour to choose for this country because it's always damn sunny and any blemishes or scratches and dirt will show up quickly.

The Blue is awesome and is a very iconic colour for the F but I'd like something different since seeing soo many blue IS-Fs you'd be able to spot it from a mile away.

So Grey seems to be the best route to take. I'm considering Grey exterior with Red/black interior which should be a good combo.

Silver is nice as well, but I think the Grey will be better overall since it'll be different from most cars around here. There are a lot of silver IS200's 300's here.

The lighter the better IMO as it allows you see the body contour of the F. My 2cents.. I love my MM.

^ Agreed

You know what's odd, they don't have the Mercury Metallic (1F2) as an option here, they only have the Premium Silver CS (077).

I'll ask them again before making the order.

Actually 077 is Starfire Pearl (White) not silver.
