Default A gorgeous Day here in Connecticut

It was a simply beautiful day in the North East today and I could not restrain myself from getting the first coat of wax on the car.

Scotchguard for the carpets and mats.
RejeX for the wheels

Meguiers #9 swirls and scratchremover 1st, followed by Meguiers #7 Glaze, finished with MeGuiers NXT.

No plans to lower it, it is tough enough to keep the front from getting whacked on curbs at this height.

Funny coincidences!

Both of my kids went to RIT. Older one graduated in Video Game Design 2 yrs ago and is still looking for a job in his field. The other just graduated in Information Security and Digital Forensics, he'll have a job in the Fall

I see you're in NC. We just bought a place in Asheville.

Looks great! Not sure if you noticed a difference, but Meguiars #7 Show car Glaze works best with cars with older single stage base coat + clear coat. Our IS F has dual stage paint jobs. You should try Meguiars Ultimate Polish if you want something you can get pretty much anywhere, or if you want to buy a higher grade product go with Meguiars #205 Ultra Finishing Compound. Ultimate Polish was derived from #205

From my experience, if you have a DA, Meguiars Ultimate Compound with a yellow pad, then Meguiars #205 Ultra Finishing Compound with a finishing pad gives our car an AMAZING look. Of course...this is what I found works well on my car...all paint jobs have variation...

In the end though, your car looks great! I wish I went with the Red color sometimes considering all these wanna be F-Sports with the USB color.

Your car looks great also.

Thanks for the advice and compliments.
Yes, I use a MeGuiers DA (porter-Cable)
I've been pretty happy with the results up until now. I'll have to look into your suggestions though.

In the past I've discussed technique with MeGuiers on their phone line. They have been pretty helpful with ideas. But, They have too many products, with too many classes, and it can surely get confusing.

I'm lucky to live in SoCal and I'm only 30 minutes from the Meguiar's HQ...I go to their Thursday night garage sessions pretty often where you get to try all their products and have attended their Saturday Detailing 101 Class as well as their Advanced Detailing Class that covers wet sanding and rotary usage.

They have a lot of products because every single one of their products does fit a certain need. I used to think the same thing...but with the cars i detail, sometimes certain products just work better than others and of course some products just work fantastic on everything...IE Ultimate Compound and Ultra Finishing Polish.
