Anyone who says the IS F suspension is TOO STIFF where it's unbearable is a little girl. Yeah...it's stiff...it's suppose to be...it's a sports car.
Because a lot of people on here watch TOP GEAR...remember when Clarkson was reviewing the McLaren MP4-12C and he said the suspension was so smooth, you barely felt it over the corner where you're flat out? But he says EVERY OTHER CAR is so stiff it hurts...well....there you go...most performance cars are stiff.

my wife has an IS250 and the ride between the two cars is night and day. if you want anything near the IS250's ride, you'll think the F is too stiff for you. i came from driving a slammed g35 maxed out on coilovers and the F's ride is actually more stiff than my previous car.

It is subjective. Hosever, the ISF will always be stiffer and bumpier than the IS250/350.
I found that while the ISF is more jiggly in some roads, it feels more planted and responsive than the base models. I'm not sure if the seats come into play at all. The base model 250/350 seats seem to have harder cushioning and stiffer leather compared to the ISF. Maybe the softer seating is Lexus' attempt at masking the stiffer car!

If you didn't like the 250 you will definitely not like the F. My personal opinion is the F is a great balance - way smoother than my Supra on Tein HAs, but not nearly as soft as my 350 with the luxury package was. It's wonderful at the track though.

My '08 wasn't too unbearable, but I had coilovers installed a month after I bought the car. It wasn't because I couldn't handle the jarring and stiffness, but rather so I could have a better balance of road feedback, ride height, and comfort.

I think the claims about the stiffness are a little bit exaggerated but thats just me. I also used to have a Miata with KYB AGX shocks that I used to ride around in set to the stiffest setting too so I could be biased haha That car felt like it was going to fall apart every time I hit a pebble...but it was awesome!

Drive it, ride quality is a very subjective thing, and is different for everyone.
Then if you really like the car but want to change the suspension, the aftermarket is there for you.
We can help you with the few options out there if you'd like, just shoot us a message
