WOW! Just spent an hour on the phone with Bob Norwood. Look him up if you havent heard of his work. He had a million answers for me on this car.

*6psi
*runs constant 11.80 @ 125
*more power is there but made knock sensors go crazy and just spun the tires
*occasional CEL due to the MAF voltage exceeding threshold, or the crank out spinning the cranks sensor threshold
*These are supposed be controlled by split second ECU system, but toyota ECU is sometimes faster than "Split Second"
*He thinks this could be worked out with split second
*Car made max power at 5500rpm and right at 450 whp
*Has been around 13 laps @ MSR Creeson and didnt over heat
*He said the car was idiot and bulletproof as long as you didnt change a thing
*Boost was turned to 8 and 12lbs, but that sacrificed driveability and he says it runs best where it is now.
*This was his PERSONAL car for about 15,000 miles and he is very confident in it.
*Has and extra fuel pump in tank the MOTEC controls, and has custom built rails under the engine cover

I just dont know if its worth the money for not much more power than I can make with bolt ons..

The power is there but the car isnt happy making any more.

If it doesn't cost to much I'd get that ISF and just enjoy it the way it is if it runs good.

I'm sure the Tq curve is way higher than a bolt on ISF, and unlike nitrous the power is always there.

Now if only he had a matching Motec exhaust, he'd be too fast and furious!

That sir is not how it works...

A stock IS-F makes about 350whp rated at 416hp. If its true and this one puts down 450whp thats over 530hp and at a higher torque curve than a N/A bolt on F.

When did kids start affording IS-F's?

Still.. a 100whp gain for $40k+? Any way you look at it, it's still a ridiculous waste of money and not surprising that it's up for sale.

By what standard? Sure it's not a small block Chevrolet, so there's not a cheap option to add lots of power, but I would wager if you look at what Bob Norwood has done, you'd be pretty happy with this car. The only question I would have is how much tinkering will I need to do to keep it running right, and what kind of fuel do I need to run so I can pump up the boost?

Seriously - look up Norwood's accomplishments. That guy lives the real performance guy's dream every day.
