Default Voiding CPO warranty

Just wondering what mods would void the CPO warranty on my 08. I saw someone had mentioned headers will void the warranty, will just adding an exhaust system void the warranty also?

it comes down to your SR. I have joe-z exhaust here in cali and they don't mind it at all when i take my car into the dealership for any service, or warranty. Mine is a CPO too. Actually all the workers there always ask me where did i get it.. etc. Cause they love the sound of the IS-F

Just the thought of modding your car would void a warranty for some SR's

And they would have to prove that mod caused the failure according to federal law... they can't just arbitrarily void your warranty.

True. How much hassle do you want to deal with and how much time are you willing to wait if your dealership is not mod friendly? Legal challenges can take a ridiculous amount of time to resolve.

It's always a risk and you should always be prepared for the worst case scenario of possibly loosing your warranty when you dive into modding. That's what you should think about first. Sometimes this dictates what mod you do 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.

Having said that, there are "mod-friendly" dealers. But it's all about accepting that risk in order to be different...... It's all up to you.
