A Stasis tuned s4 with DCT is fast, just go to dragtimes.com to get a general idea whats up.Taking it a step further N.A. engines are affected by heat and altitude where as a F.I. engine can compensate for that.I know a guy in Sweden that has a daily driven S4 that he claims is putting down 360hp to wheels. You picked some stiff competition for your first race .Don't let anyone tell you different ,YOU HAVE ONE FAST CAR ! !

Tuned B8 S4s will put down similar numbers to the wheels as a stock IS-F. They have the advantage off the line because of the AWD. You have a better top end. I drove a stock S4 and was slightly underwhelmed with the power, though it is a very nice car.

I remember the first day I drove my IS F home...man...I babied the hell out of it. I went form a 270hp Acura TL to this beast...I'll never forget that night. [/QUOTE]

I can relate to this, I went from a 94 es300. I would def say there is a big learning curve to this beast. It's been about a year of ownership now and I'm still learning.

OP Be carefully street racing you never know what's going to jump out in front of you.

B8 S4's with a tune are quick, from what I've heard. I may have made one of the biggest jumps here, coming from a 140HP Integra... it took me quite a while to drive the F confidently... the day I picked it up, I drove like an old man though

Heat and altitude affect FI engines too, especially since boost is indexed to atmospheric on production cars. What it means is, when the altitude increases, the absolute manifold pressure decreases because the pressure ratio across the turbine stays the same. The only way for FI to compensate for altitude is to reference boost to absolute pressure, and none of the OEMs have done this because they can't afford to have it fail at lower altitudes - it could cost them an engine.

All that said, it's tough for an NA engine against a FI engine when the FI engine can be easily modded for more boost.

I've never had such encounters with anyone yet. Lets say that I did encounter someone that wants to go for a friendly one. Theres not a single car on the road, the sun is out and the planets are aligned. In what gear or at what RPM should I be if lets say we are starting from a 40mph roll?

I have driven a dealer certified Stasis tuned S4 and it felt as fast if not faster than the F.

Maybe one of your spark plugs isn't plugged in j/k

Like they stated practice your take offs and when to shift. Taking off in the wrong gear can make you lose a race as well

Given knowledge of the F, this should be the result when running an S4.

Nice piece!
