Just want to see how many F members are interested about this ? Date ? 1 full day ? or 2 days 1 nite ? if 1 full day then very early meet like 5am. its a family picnic , food , fun at the beach, cruise, lots of photo shoot. For those members wanted to get those cool rolling shots this should be the your chance . So post your suggestions

If I had to vote I would say leave early one day, cruise up, have hotel rooms reserved, then hit the town for the night (dinner and drinks...nothing more extravagant than that for me I'm afraid). Come home in the morning.
For a day trip I think it's too much unexciting driving to return home all in one day. For day trips it's better to head to Big Bear or something where you at least get twisties for 50% of the drive.
Or even the group splits up and some head home the same day I would be willing to stay put for the night. The college area downtown is lots of fun to walk around and hit bars.
