IS-F Aftermarket Front Bumper Options?
#16
The only gripe I have with the WALD front is that it is only a half bumper. A number of owners have chosen to mold it onto the OEM bumper to give it a more refined, seamless look. It certainly looks more aggressive, but reduces the front ground clearance considerably, so more likely than not, there will be scraping.
Unfortunately, it cannot be bought as an entire bumper replacement. Molding it onto the bumper should be fairly easy for a professional shop to do. Best of luck!

^My thoughts exactly. I hadn't thought about the possibility of cracking over time, but it can be an issue if a shop didn't do a good enough job. But exclusivity, name brand, material, and finish all comprise of the price. I just can't imagine the thought of scraping a carbon fiber piece. Nevertheless, a full WALD kit looks amazing on any of the IS F colors.

There aren't many full bumper replacements out there. If you think Wald is expensive, then I don't know if the others will fit your budget. Unfortunately, the alternatives are all in the ball park when it comes to price. Full bumper, I like Artisan (see PurduePete). Good luck.

Well the nice thing in my case is that the guy wants to handle the new bumper outside of insurance, so I'm going to get a quote from the dealer for a brand new front bumper with installation and that's what he's going to pay me. And I can use that towards the Wald, which should cover almost 1/2 of it, and then I'll just need to pay for to be molded on. So I'm hoping to be able to get out the door for about $1,500 OOP installed, which think is a pretty smoking deal for such a bad *** looking bumper.
And I agree with everyone else, Wald should have just made a whole bumper to being with rather than just the "chin". It probably wouldn't have cost them much more to make it and I bet the would have sold a lot more of them.
