Default One more (my last) wheel fitment question for the experts.

I'm at stock ride height, stock suspension on a 09 IS-F. Wheels specs are:
19x8.5 +38 front (225/40 tires)
19x9.5 +29 rear (255/35 tires)

I'm sure the fronts will fit without an issue, but it is the rears that I'm a little worried about. I really don't want to roll, pull and stretch fenders or dremel out fender lining to make anything work. Eventually I'd like to also lower my car a little bit and maybe even run a wider set of tires, but I'm thinking with those offsets, I might be stuck with the stock tire sizes unless I want to mod my fenders.

Anyone have experience running wheels this size, and if so, what tires/suspension are you on?

Thanks

I can't see why that would be a problem - I'm running

20x9.5 + 43 fronts and 20x10.5 +45 rears with 255/30 fronts and 305/25 rears. The rears DO rub under big bumps or weird articulation but the fronts have no issues at all.

Yup, you'll definitely have to roll or shave the rears even if you stretch in the back. You can't run a more squared setup cuz the tires won't tuck under.

Thanks for the link. So according to that calculator, my rears will stick out an extra 32mm or 1.25" from where the stocks sit in the rear. I think I will definitely have some issues if I try to lower the car or run a wide tire, but at stock ride height and tire size, maybe I'll get away with it without rubbing (btw, a 255 on a 9.5" wheel won't have to be stretched).

Thanks for the information. You're on stock ride height, correct? Do you have any fender work done? I just played around with the numbers a bit, and I'll basically have the same spacing as if someone was running a 10.5 +43 in the rear, virtually identical to what you have, except I won't have nearly the width of your tires. Do you have a picture by chance?

I did roll my rear fenders, but frankly it's not quite enough to tuck the 305s, when the 305s are sufficiently worn (they were bought for my supra, so we're almost there) I'll downsize to a 295/25 and it should be good to go.

I have side pictures, but no pictures of the fitment really - this is the only one that shows it a bit.

Yeah, that looks great man. I like how the rears sit virtually flush without looking "stanced" or "hellaflushed". Like I posted, my width/offset combo will be virtually identical to your width/offset combo, except those 305s in the rear are WAY wider than the 255s I'll be running. If you think that rolled fenders and 295s will keep you from rubbing, then I'm optimistic that with 255s I won't need to roll mine, and I may even be able to step up in tire width a little bit down the road. Since my 255s are virtually new though, I'm going to run them til I need replacements.
