Pull the Whole motor to replace Headers???
So i have my car at the Lexus dealership in Utah and i have a cracked Manifold. Dont know how it happened But oh well.
I want to get New aftermarket headers PPE or Sikky, But lexus is saying the enitre motor has to be pulled to repalce the headers?. I dont think this is true but wanted to ask you all.
Also does anyone know a good place to get headers installed In Utah and or Las Vegas/So Cal and maybe PHX. I want someone who has done them before on the ISF
Let me know what you guys would do?

That would be me, amgone75 and rxrage I think the reason you need aligment because the installers dropped the subframe too much and taken about those front wheels. We didnt take out the front wheels , dropped the subframe a bit but supported with a lift for that sub frame with a piece of wood in between it.

If you loosen the subframe you'll need an alignment.
There are reasons why Lexus installs things certain ways. The fastest way is what Kody stated, but you'll need a thorough alignment afterwards.

Not really , if the installers used white marker to marked lines prior loosen the frame, and used crank or lifter to support sub frame, unsupported the frame or loosen out complete might be a result of alignment ? also applied for the steering shaft as well . Installed correctly , U dont need any alignment . All 3 of us didnt need any alignment to shown a very good mechanic very hard to find

I'm sure the dealership goes by their blanket manual that has certain protocols for certain things. I'd also suspect they do not do a ton of these. I don't think they are trying to hose honestly, they just may not be aware of the short cuts as some of the others have done. Do you have it at LH Miller or Lindon?
Personally, I'd make the trip to AZ and have the company install their product. Good luck, and we need to meet sometime. I have a friend that just purchased a SFP around here as well. ;-)
