I have had my share of boosted cars and ridden in a nicely boosted Supra. I will stick to the NA power for my 'daily'. Now, track car/toy on the other hand......

It was definitely a nice read. Yaguchi-san definitely knows what he's doing. The improvements year after year and utilizing the CCS-R while keeping the motor stock says a great deal about the direction the IS F is headed. I know the MY13 probably won't get a 600 pound shed, but any little bit will go a long way to be even more competitive in its class.

Our GMs son had a ISF, and was making about 600hp without FI.

That engine has a whole lot more in it, than 420hp.

I mean look at the LFA... has a V10 and weighs just under 3300lb... they should engineer the ISF the same way using weight reductive materials, and increase the HP.

It all makes perfect sense.......until you watch these videos and then all of a sudden the reverse makes sense lol

http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=52&i=20819

F1 car weighs 600Kg and generates 1000Kg of down-force giving total of 1600Kg load on tyres

Without the down-force you actually need a heavier car to get to these values (Although at 1715Kg + passengers you could still nicely drop quite a bit from the IS F

Maybe aiming for 1500-1550Kg curb weight would be a perfect target for the next IS F? (Oh and an extra 50 BHP )
