USB all the way! Over the years I've went through a line of average cars too.. From a 99 Altima to an 04 Corolla then to an 05 Celica GTS before scoring a 09 USB IS F. Gradual upgrades.. :-)

I paid $42,000 for my '08 in Sept 2010 w/ 14k miles.

$55.5k brand new?!?! How'd you pull that off? Wanna help me buy my next one? Hell, if you can get me $10k off, I'll give you a $1k cash!

Not to knock the car, but I came from an '08 IS250. Great DD kind of car, but slow as hell. 205hp...
Prior to that I had an '07 Sonata (before they became quite nice) for 1 year.

It's more of an unstoppable habit than anything else at this point. This is mainly only a concern when merging onto highways. I'll go extra wide on the driver's side mirror and see if I can kill an old habit.
I ride a motorcycle and always turn my whole body to check my blind spots.

I still do it in the car too..its hard habit to break.

Basically if you can see the side of your car in your side mirrors they are not adjusted right....

What are you talking about, I compare my Integra and F all the time... the rims on the Integra are as big as the rotors on the F

IMO my Integra's stock suspension rides smoother than the F. I don't mind the stiff suspension in the F so much. My first car (92 Civic hatch) was way stiffer due to the upgraded Tokico/Skunk2 suspension.

WTF? You get girls saying hello? I constantly get dudes saying "nice car man"

Wow, you are a master negotiator. New F with my options is MSRP $66,372. I landed at $53,500 after talking them down from $55,600 and I was feeling pretty good about that. I don't know how you talked them down by $10K but good for you! That is a truly awesome deal. The way I looked at it, I was getting a $12,000 discount because someone broke it in for me. 16,000 miles is still pretty new in my book.

Thanks SPoon. I have family, friends and other contacts down in SoCal so I could definitely line that up and it would be cool to check some of the customized rides in person. I'll keep an eye out for meets.

Something seems odd that he would have negotiated a price $10K below sticker. That's below invoice isn't it (unless he was able to find one that had no navigation, no ML sound, and basically no other options)? Why would a dealer make that deal? If the dealer was a family member or close friend, maybe... but then you can't take credit for MAD NEGOTIATION SKILZZZZ when you've got the deck stacked in your favor.

To the OP, I don't think $53,500 was a bad price with your mileage and options. Congrats on the purchase!

Nice upgrade! I came from an Acura Integra, but once that got stolen, I ended up driving my wife's old high school car... a 1999 4 dr chevy cavalier. Drove that around for 3 years while I saved up money for an F. Its hard finding other cars to compare to the F...especially when you haven't owned anything with this much luxury or power!

As for your windshield, I had to get mine replaced recently due to a rock chip and crack. The shop I went to battled with my insurance company to get me OEM glass, but AAA declined to do that for me since OEM glass costs around $1200+! I ended up having to settle for after market glass which is OK.

As for your tint, if you're having trouble seeing, I say you get it removed and/or retinted. Especially since your front windows aren't tinted...there's a lot of contrast when between the two windows.

Congrats again!

I came from a 2000 Tacoma pickup. The difference was night and day Before that I had an 1998 Integra GS-R.

I bought my 2011 used about 4 months ago and did a lot of research on prices. You got a good deal.

$55,500 for me was not OTD...plus tax and license that's it. Keep in mind, I purchased the car back in September 2008, only a few weeks before the stock market took a dump.

I guess mine is pretty standard...i got wheel locks, floor mats, trunk mat, ML/Navi. Only option I don't have is the radar guided cruise control and backup sensors.

I'm asian...we don't budge. Plus I spent so many days with them shooting emails back and forth. I was at the dealership for 45 minutes. Car was ready, I spent more time going over the car making sure there were no scratches, dings, etc.
