Beeping while going over railroad tracks?
Twice now, I've gone through a certain railroad crossing and there's a fast beeping while going over the tracks. It sounds like the parking sensors at the third level.
Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks a lot! That makes sense.
I wasn't looking at the gauges, it happened so fast. I just realized today that was the second time it happened in that location. I'll watch my gauges next time I'm there.

it's a quiet, but high pitched tone...it's usually 3 consecutive beeps in my experience. It's quick too...3 beeps probably within a second. When you really lose it, it should go off...or in this case, on railroad tracks.
There's no rev limiter beep...The beep tells you when to shift It's a um...shift beep...opposed to a shift light I guess.

I've only been able to get VSC to do the triple beep in the '10 -F a few times. The '08 was much easier to trigger it in.
My LIMITED understanding, having owned a GS300 as well, is that the beep is only triggered in relation to VSC and not just TRAC. I believe it's only triggered when the yaw sensors are "concerned" about what the vehicle is doing or get the impression the angle of the wheels/direction of travel is not what's expected (rather than just the plain old traction control, which quietly intervenes when you lose traction in general)
On some roads that transition from asphalt to dirt, if I turn in hard enough, I can get the whole car into a slide (not just the rear) and the beep-beep-beep will happen as expected. It's difficult to reproduce on the -F.
I can get the '02 GS to trigger its yaw-freakout much easier.
Curious - is the train track you are going over at a strange angle? (Eg, it doesn't run straight across the road, but actually runs at an angle across the road?) .. just curious

^^^actually this is true. I went up a weird drive way today, and the traction control light came on, but no beeps. Now that i think about it...the traction control light does come on without beeping...so you're right...it's the VSC going on...but that's crazy it's going off when the guy goes over train tracks.

I don't know about you guys but since I got my first ISF back in may 2008, I've NEVER driven with the VSC on, I always disable it through the long push. Again, I've seen the light blinking when driving hard, but never heard the beeping. Could it be because I have VSC disabled?
