No IS-F's invited to this party
Car and Drivers' BEST drag race of 2012 didn't include an IS-F. I know the F would have finished at the end of the pack, but it would have been nice to have seen it right there with the Aventador and GT-R. Any thoughts on why it wasn't included? ??
Here is the link:
And heres the link to the 2011 Worlds Greatest Drag race... No ISF again, but there is an LFA

Typically, comparison tests involves new models or models 1-2 yrs in, so that their new technology can best be compared. It doesn't make sense to throw in an older model near the end of its run. The magazine would be inundated with hate mail and be accused of apple to orange comparison.
I know for Motor Trend, each car of the year candidate has to be a new or fairly new redesigned model.

Hmmmm... i dont know if that was the case for this video - i dont think all 10 of these cars were revamped this year. They did talk about the power boost to the GT-R but I think the reason it wasnt in contension is because they font feel it was a contender with these supercars.

The ISF has no reason to be in this comparison because its not a serious contender as a drivers car. All of these cars were tested in the "Best Drivers Car" , then carried over to take place in the drag race. Hopefully the next generation ISF will have ***** enough to compete with the newly revamped competition.

All the fanboys of each make and model are going to complain why their cars weren't in the race (as I saw the comments on that video)... but Subaru BRZ? Really? I hope it was included just for comical purposes. Also I would've hoped for the Porsche 911 GT2 or Turbo at least instead of the Carrera S.

I test drove an FRS a few months back. It really IS a fun car to drive, very responsive handling and very quick shifting (automatic with paddle shifters). It DID feel like a little baby LFA. HP isn't everything, and there's plenty of room under the hood for mods. Just saying...for the price its a good "driver's car".
