picture 12 says. Sasaki-san also chirrups in. "With the 86, we didn't want to use driver aids - that's the thinking. But new Supra means big power, so we need something for that. It'll be a different avenue of sports car from the GT 86."

Tantalisingly, neither of them would formulate anything concrete, so it remains as thus: the GT 86 is the hot new thing on the block, and a new Supra is "just one avenue of sports car Toyota could take. There are others too." One thing is for sure however: if Tada-san has his way, the new sports car definitely

Sounds like it is a possibility for a Supra. The car in this article reminds me of a Celica...

How can that be when the ISF is a sedan and the Supra is a coupe? I agree that the ISF is filling the void for big muscle in the Toyota line up but I wouldn't call it a replacement for Supra.

The GT-86 in that article is the Scion FR-S. Co-developed with Subaru. The BRZ is the Subaru version. Its an FR coupe that has a 2.0L NA boxer engine with 200 hp. I've wanted to test drive it but its been sold out since release at my brothers dealership. It would be a Celia replacement if you want to call it that but its supposed to be the successor to the 1986 Trueno (sports Corolla in Japan) which was the car from the Initial-D anime, hence the 86 designation.
