+1 on swapping "down" to the IS F haha.

I agree, save money on buying the '08 and upgrade accordingly. You won't regret it!

I'm a current 08 IS F owner...maybe half IS F considering there's something wrong with it at the moment, BUT...Unless you''re going to track the car or you're actually that skilled of a driver, you're not going to notice the changes and enhancements of a mechanical LSD.

The suspension though, that's a different story. I drove a 2011 IS250 for the past couple days and it's been a smooth ride...much smoother than my 08 IS F...but I'd still take my 08 IS F suspension over it. Yeah, it can get choppy, but you can always change out the suspension like some people have and go with KWs or what not. I've never sat in a car with aftermarket suspension so IDK.

I'm a little confused as to why people are telling you that would be a downgrade. Seriously. Since when does buying the model up from the model you own constitute a downgrade? Just because the car is a few years older? So, would buying a 2013 IS250 be considered an upgrade?

In the end though, it all depends on what you want. The IS350 is a nice car and I'm sure it does all you need it to do. If you want more performance though, your choice is obvious.

Default have both

My husband has a 2010 350C all tricked out with the F sport stuff - I had a red 2010 ISF and then traded it in for a 2012 starfire pearl with red interior - no question in our combined minds which is better - the ISF!!!!!! Believe me, it is a beautiful sleeper. We did one mod - had LEXUS put back on the rear trunk since it was removed on 2012 models. Point of info - we are 70 and 63 years old. My husband was driving the ISF (one of the few times I let him drive) when a kid pulled up at a light and asked him what the fxxk he was doing driving a car like that..................

Ha ha.. to be fair, I think people meant that it's a downgrade as he is trading a new car for a used one, with more mileage, less gadgets, and older features. So if you take performance entirely out of the equation, then I suppose it is a downgrade. But why would you get the F if performance is not a consideration? That's the entire cost of the premium for the car!

If you traded a brand new Yaris for a used Ferrari, is it a downgrade? LOL j/k
