Its mandrel bent tubes(which Borla has) and the sound won't be an HKS sound as its just a tube no resonators

If you guys are going for sound and a few HP I would definitely recommend doing the muffler/2nd cat delete...right DCoolBeans?

The HKS midpipe sounds similar to my setup:

Thanks for the input everyone. I commute a lot, so OEM is loud enough for me. The main thing I'm after is a little more horsepower. So it would be perfect if I stay close to OEM on the sound but gain around 10 horses (I'm guessing) by deleting the secondary cats which the HKS midpipe requires.

For the $75 it then cost me to have the full cat-back installed, I wouldn't have bothered trying it myself and would have saved a couple hours. But this was on an 08 w/ 60k miles with those never have been touched before. With a '10 you shouldn't have such issues.
Can you unclip them from the harness and work on it outside the car?

But you still keep the crush in the rear exhaust section (axle back portion). That, IMHO, is a very restrictive part of the stock exhaust system.

Cool! I've never heard of that setup before. Is it a lot louder than stock?

HKS mid pipe and Borla axle back should absolutely work and create more power and sound. Great combo IMHO, but you forgo having a real dual exhaust system. Why would you do that when ISS, Borla and the JoeZ all make true dual systems that perform well or you can modify the stock exhaust, as I have done, into a true dual system

I don't really see a point in a "real dual exhaust", since the butt dyno won't really sense a major change....so I went for sound instead. That's what i think Kramer is going for. HKS+Borla will be unique sounding for sure.

Unless you track the car on a timed course (bone stock vs. true dual exhaust) IMO I don't see a point on the true dual. Lobux can attest to this.

Can someone explain to me is the below sound clip HKS SSM IS F with Headers or without?

Because here --> (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...cs-inside.html) he says he installed PPE headers but is this video clip with headers or without?

You should probably PM g35cali or have him respond to this thread... I know his car is still for sale with the full HKS catback system
