Default VLED LED install to replace DRL's..cover wont fit?

I picked up the VLED conversion for my DRL's. The wiring and the small black box wont fit behind the dust cover on the back of the headlight. Anybody else have a solution to get the cover back on?

to the OP,

In order to use the decoder box, you will have to wire it through the low beam housing (on the side) and into the drl housing.
you CANNOT make a hole in the plastic covers (moisture guards) or your headlights will condensate and will probably take out your ballast.
if you cannot make a snug fit with drill the covers, simply put the covers over the decoder box wiring, and snap it tightly shut.
do not worry, the wiring will be fine.

I actually dont use the decoder box, so the LED DRLs do not run at full power unless i flick on the high beams.
however, it looks pretty sweet and devilish, these are the ijdmtoy drl 9005 68smd bulbs.
they flicker, and give the light a "3d" effect.

good luck with your install! remember, always use the rain guards and do not compromise their structure with proper insulation.

To the OP, I have the same kit as you do. Believe it or not you can fit the entire module in there and seal it with no modifications needed to the moisture guard.

Once you have everything connected, take the module and firmly but carefully wedge it into the bottom space until the whole thing disappears inside the housing. Trust me, it takes some patience but it will fit. Do the same for the other side. Don't forget to put the guards back in! Obviously this job will be moderately difficult if you don't remove the headlights from the car but it's not impossible. Good luck!

Hi Boma,
I managed to get them slid into the housing with a little effort. Thnaks for the tip! Only problem is that the driver side doesnt work at all....no flicker, nothing. Passenger side is perfect. I sent an e-mai lto VLED's but no response yet.

^ darn..I should have advised testing the connection before stuffing the module in there hopefully it is just a faulty bulb and can be replaced! I'm glad to be of some help though.

Has anyone had any issues with this kit? My driver side will not work. I switch the bulbs across to the poassenger side and everything works fine there. VLED's sent me a replacement module and it still wont work on my drivers sdie. This is the response they sent me.....

"LEDs draw a lot less power and your car’s CPU/PCM or CANBUS system may be having issues with this."

Has anyone else had this issue on their ISF? Thanks.
