guys, I finally ordered my winter set tires and rims from Tire Rack. It is so costly $_$, but i guess it is better to be well prepared then get stuck in the snow.

I will have TPMS set up in dealer once the tires arrive, but you think they will charge extra for just adding another set of TPMS in the system?

Also I have tire protection plan with my dealer, will these new winter tires be covered under the dealers tire protection program even though i did not purchase the tires from the dealer? My dealer is Ramsey, NJ Prestige Lexus dealer.

Any inputs are welcome! thx!

They are not covered because you have a aftermarket set of wheels. I believe it only covers stock wheels. They will charge you to program your new set. How much they charge I'm not sure. The tire shops around my place charge 70 to program. You can buy the tool to program them from our vendor IAP for $149. So you have options.
