Default Advice Choosing new wheels And Specs....

Undecided on which rims to get, Linea Corse LC818 19x10 +33 on all corners (obby´s setup) or Varrstoen 2.2.2 19x9.5/10.5 +30, But I´m not so sure about Varrstoen´s offset. Is someone here running +30 offset or something similar to the Varrstoen specs on their F?

My tire setup:
Potenza RE-11 245-35-19 Front
Potenza RE-11 275-30-19 Rear

Varrstoen 2.2.2

Thanks.

I'm running 19 x 9.5/10.5 +35 all around with same tire setup as you. had to shave the rear but I'm running straight camber. don't think +30 will be a problem.

I rec. staying away from those Varrstoens (never heard of them), b/c they look so similar to Volk TE37s. Save yourself the grief of dealing with the "knock-off stigma" from your locals and buy another wheel. Or buy Volk TE37s. TE37s have a cult following. Actually, these are so cheap ($275 per 19) and look so similar that it is a knock- off. Please don't put knock-offs on an IS-F. Do as you like, it's just extra info. you probably didn't realize.

Varrstoens are just fine, there is nothing wrong with them. I had them on one of my SCs and got a lot of compliments on them. They are actually pretty popular, look in the IS x50 section of this forum. And if he might not want to spend $4k + on Volks plus wait time plus tires. Also I am running 20x9 +27 up front and its fine.

Varrstoens aren't bad. They do copy a lot of the volk designs, but I would try to find a set of used volks first.

If you put the extra $$$ to get an ISF and not an F-Sport, why would you go cheap on wheels and install copies of other wheels?

I had lc818's and they're not the best either... lets just say after a season i invested in volks te37's.

i ran 30+ 38+ offset and it rubbed on bumps with 275's in the rear.

those Varrstoen 2.2.2 kinda looks sketchy... I was on there website and the Blue Skyline actually seems to have Rays/Volks. I cant really make it out but the sticker on the wheels look like the stickers that come on volk te37s.

It's the OPs money so it's really up to him. I sat get whatever you want depending on how much you want to spend. And not everyone is spending $66k on a brand new isf. People are buying 08s now in the high 30s. Which is cheaper than an F Sport

To each his own. But it seems like you are going to do some really spirited driving wife those RE11s. So, my advice is go with a reputable wheels company, not necessarily an expensive brand. But if you can afford it, go for the real thing and not knock offs.

For what it is worth, there are good deals on Volks and Work wheels popping up all the time in the classified section on this forum. I was surprised, because on some of the other forums for other cars I've owned, Volk wheels always sell at a premium and you can never find anything in the size, color and offsets that you really want. Here, there are a lot of wheels in great condition for under $2500/set, which is a little more than half what you might pay new, and with no wait time. I was going to wait and buy new Volks when I was ready, but a set in the exact size and finish I was looking for popped up and I jumped. Saved a bunch of money.

Uh... is that a fake JWL mark casted onto those Varrstoens? That's so wrong on so many levels. I can't believe people run these. I'm embarrassed for whoever decides to run these.

This! Couldn't agree more, and check out g35 driver and other cars with similar offsets and lug pattern too if our classifieds don't have what you're looking for.
