Default 2008 IS-F's

Hey fellas,

I'm the new guy and am eager to find an ISF. I've been religiously searching autotrader, CL, cars.com and this site as well.

Here's the deal (or not) I'm looking for one less than 70k miles for no more than $30k.

Have the prices come down to that yet? Maybe It's not my time.

Just wanted to ask if any of you have any inside information because I am ready to buy.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Cannot post in classifieds due to new bootyness.

That'll be tough. You might be able to find a very small handful of privately owned IS-Fs under 70k miles that are in the $20s, but there won't be many if any at a dealership and you're going to probably have to be willing to travel to locate one. I'd be a little nervous working a deal with a private seller that is halfway across the country unless it was someone that could be vouched for by others that I trust.

If you kick your budget up to about $35K though, that should open enough doors for you to find what you want. That, or wait a year.

Yea, I was kind of thinking that. I'm negotiating at a dealer about 1,800 miles away right now. They are asking $32k and I'm offering $29k. We'll see what happens when they get back to me.

I should have never test drove one because now I'm hooked. That transmission...oh lawd.

Have you found much difference in inventory between Autotrader and cars.com? I've been looking for a very specific color combo and year IS F, and I search autotrader a few times per day, but still nothing yet (i find within my budget and year range what I'm looking for in every other color though).

Wondering if I should search cars.com too or if the inventory is the same.
Good luck!

No, it's generally the same inventory with the exception of a few I've noticed on one website and not the other.

GL with you search!

$35k will get one with 60k+ miles. It may not be mint but you can still find an F around that price. $30k is out of the question though unless the car is beat to hell and needs work.

keep searching. if you are a motivated buyer it shouldn't be a problem but you might have to travel.
I searched for a couple of months for mine. You have to be careful for 30k and under because a mint is-f for that price is like a needle in a haystack. at that price it might be higher mileage or not good condition.

I wouldn't say that you won't be able to find a nice one, it'll just have higher milelage. These cars are built pretty well and stay pretty solid over time. Watch out though, repairs are extremely expensive as I am finding out.
