In most of my cars I have removed the spare tire/tools/everything else in the trunk and relied on AAA Premier for those situations. It's always saved the biggest amount of weight. Beyond that IMO you start to get into "track-car" status by stripping stuff and being annoyed on the road.
I had the Odyssey PC6800 on one of my Evo 8's a few cars back and it was great. But whenever I went a few days without starting her up...I was SUPER nervous and she grumbled excessively (but did still start eventually). The key point is that the Evo 8 has literally no tech in it...headlights and an awful stock stereo OMG.
With all of the electronics in the ISF I can't imagine a battery like the 6800 being reasonable after a couple days of sitting. Is it? Right now I'm actually willing to gain weight and go Die-Hard just to be safe. Those things rock.

LOL. Aw man, that sucks. With my first Evo the issue was the lightweight battery seemed to be that it stressed the starter and then that failed on me VERY prematurely.
But it was more about the car feeling like it wouldn't start, every time I tried to start it. It did, but sure didn't feel/sound/look like it was going to. Piece of mind to me goes a long way after that experience.

Wait, you got pulled over in a highly modified IS-F? LOL I hope you didn't get a ticket. I had my car off for over a week and no problems with the lithium pack. Lithiums don't self discharge like lead acids. Once, I had my car outside overnight when it was actually below ZERO. When I woke up the next morning to start it, it barely turned over. I kept at it and as I kept on trying, the cells got warmer and warmer and stronger and stronger which is exactly OPPOSITE of lead acids. Lead acids, if they don't turn over the first time, won't turn over. Lithiums have lower resistance as they get warmer and warmer from trying to start it! That was the ONLY time it didn't turn over instantly in the last 3 years. I don't even carry and emergency jumper anymore (I used to JUST in case). BTW, my emergency jumper was 2 pound lithium pack LOL. I have started others car with the 2 pound jumper!!!

Sorry to go off topic there, but back on topic I'd like to see some racing seat setups in the F and hear how many lbs were saved, what rails were used and cost of the project.

Do these light weight batteries just drop on and reach everything ok?
Cause on my 370Z, the Braille 17lbs battery I put in wasn't tall enough to reach the terminal posts...so I moved the battery to the hatch.

It was before the big weight loss (the clever student can see I weighed 243 lbs in the car), but what's funny is the scale at Roebling Road has never had the date and time set, so when you weigh your car it says some ancient date...I'd've fixed it if they would let me, but there's no one allowed to mess with the scales except Roebling staff and they were busy.
