Aerotect Pre-cut overlay.
I just called Aerotect today about the pre-cut headlamp and foglight overlay film in Optic Blue color..but they said they don't have the pre-cut film. I thought few members here bought the pre-cut film from them before? any ideas ? If i go with the bulk film, will a 24" width per linear foot cover both headlamp ?
Thanks
Thanks

Headlights are a PITA - go pre-cut or you will be sorry. There is for sure a template for the headlights for 3M and Ventureshield coverings. Not sure why they can't use these with their film.
I used there Optic blue kit in 17mm on my fogs only. I custom cut some Ventureshield for my headlights, If I remember right, I needed about 22" in height to yield 2 headlamps, but you will need at least 36" in length (36 x 24) minimum...and more if you make a mistake. The problem with custom is an unclean cut line will show.....so get the laser cut if you can for a nice clean install.
I had these left over from my old IS300 L-tuned fogs lights.
The specs were:
4 inch circles
17mm - not sure if you need this thick or not
I had to cut these down to fit to about 3 to 3 1/2 " ovals - there were extra and I had nothing to lose if I wrecked them. They have been on for two years now with no problems.
So you could order 4" and fit them like I did. This fog is moderate difficulty to install due to the curvature, even if the size is right, you need patience to fit properly. On the good side, the edges are hidden under the fog shroud, in case you make a mistake. You will need to stretch these a bit during installation, so only wet about half of the surround. I also test fitted the shape with some extra clear Venture shield I had laying around which aided in getting the correct shape.
