Rear facing infant seat?

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but anybody have any suggestions on a good forward facing booster seat. Can be harnessed or not harnessed as one of my kids is approaching 5 and I want to get him out of a front facing convertible seat soon (which I don't think fits too well already).

+1 for the recaro prosport for front facing . it's one of the more "narrow" front facing seats so it works wall for the ISF backseat.
here're a couple pics of it in the car. i have the front passenger seat up further than it needs to be in the pic.

For a second, I thought it was a picture of my rear seat then noticed you have the newer interior! (jealous)... you should also use the shoulder/lap seat belt (feed it behind the padding) for better security. The install instructions recommend it as well.... just a heads up.
From what I recall with car seat installs, it's either LATCH (with top tether) OR shoulder belt, but not both.
After your post, I re-read the manual to make sure I didn't miss something.
It sounds like LATCH + tether will support kids up to 55 lbs, then the seat must be switched to shoulder belt for kids heavier than 55lbs. Let me know if there was something in the manual I missed.

The seat is currently using LATCH + top tether.

Years a ago I test drove an IS350 and installed my rear facing Recaro Signo. It fit, but it was a tight squeeze. Granted the Recaro was a larger than normal car seat.

For those young dads who are looking at baby seats, forget Recaro's if you need a seat that really is compact but also safe, look at the CLEK.
I just picked up a CLEK "foonf" model and it's the best seat out there bar none (we own a total of 6 baby seats) for 2 kids.. We have a 2 year old girl and my son is just about to turn one so we can flip him around to forward facing but this seat can grow with the baby from rearward facing all the way till they don't need it anymore.
What's special about this seat besides the cool design is that they are built with special crash absorption foam and has a very small external footprint so you can actually install 3 of these seats side by side if needed. Most baby seats such as the Recaro are so wide they really intrude on the space next to it.
