A 335i with a jb4, intakes,dp's and exhaust would be good for upwards of 420whp with upped boost. Even more with meth. So with the same mods the 3 series will destroy a F.

i had a 335i with a tune, yes the boost was fun, however the engine and the exhaust on the F are priceless.
The F is more unique as well. I am a professional so the F matches my personality at this point in my life a lot better.

I never had a 335 but I have driven several. They are nice cars with some decent pull. I can say that last week I just traded my 08 M3 for a 2010 ISF. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the BMW but the ISF is just so much better all around. To start off, of course the ISF is faster then the 335. The 335 is easy to mod to make faster though. I have only been on the forum for a week but as I'm quickly learning, the ISF is limited to moding options, I/E/H, no tunes are available. I personally love that!!! With my M3, seemed like always more to do… With the ISF, just get in and drive and its fast.... The Lexus kills BMW on interior. My M3 always rattled and I hated the Idrive system. Doing everything through the **** sucked. Also, the Bluetooth in my M3 sounded like crap!!!! The nav/phone/radio system is so much more user friendly then the BMW. Plus I personally like the fact of touch screen. I hated my seats in the M3. I know its supposed to be that way in the M3 but the ridged hard seats killed on long drives…. The ISF's seats are so much more comfortable. As in the eye catching feature, ISF wins... The 335 looks nice but no way compares to the way the ISF looks… The BMW had run flat tires. I don’t like not having a spare and replacing run flats are more expensive… I guess the only areas where the 335 would beat the ISF is the included maintenance plan from BMW and that the 335 gets like 4 MPG more then the ISF....

You have to make your own decision... Your going to be paying for it so get what will make you happy but my personal opinion is of course the ISF....

Thanks CCLSVTF one of my biggest reason for asking this question is price, 335i's are way cheaper and they look pretty nice and even with a couple grand in upgrades I could stay under what an isf goes for with that being said I am hopefully test driving both Tomm if time permits. The isf is straight beast but the huge price difference is making me consider the bimmer

Everyone is right about power... you can get it out of a 335i but it will not handle even close to an isf. The suspensions are light years apart. I dont see many 335i owners with the nuts to drive 170 comfortably like is easily done in a ISF

Certain mods will do different things to different cars lol, especially comparing a n/a to a turbo. Invalid argument. My friend has doubled his boost with a "chip" and has headers, intake and exhaust and I still pulled him on all motor. It's terrible off the line too. My friends stock 2012 Gt beat it lol. I just enjoy an all motor car, no tuning issues and its a blast to drive. Some say it feels heavy but with aftermarket coilovers it is a completely different car.

I'm pretty Lost right now so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Bad comparison...no comparison IMO. I would get the F over the 3s and M3. Lots of problems with the turbos, etc.

So, really your question is whether or not the IS-F is worth ~$15K more than the 335i, right? When you spend more money, you expect to get more car. The IS-F is more car than the 335i without a doubt. Whether or not you need or want more car is only something you can answer. My wife would be just as happy with the IS350 and the extra money in her pocket rather than the IS-F. When I was shopping around, she even suggested I get the IS350 instead. I had to politely tell her that isn't even on my radar.

I would definitely suggest you get the 335i rather than stretch your budget to an uncomfortable level to squeeze into an IS-F. However if you can comfortably afford either, get the IS-F. You'll appreciate having the better car if you're a car guy like most of us on this forum.

N54's and N55's turbos weren't the problem....

Sometime....enjoy a car it's not all about horsepower...For me, it's about how classy my Lexus is, it is a unique and rare car to begin with. It turns heads when you drive down the street. Alot of people never heard or saw an aggressive Lexus like our car ever before. They always asked, "is that a Lexus? What kind of Lexus is this? Do all those brake and body kit comes with the factory?"
For example...for the price of a ISF, even it is used...it's still over $35k.
for that price, if you want more horsepower....I will recommand you get a brand new 2013 Mustang GT 5.0 (420hp) for that price, and with a tons of aftermarket parts and affortable price....it can out run ISF or M3 in no time. And it also looks good and aggressive.

Just my two cents.
Hope you get to join our F family in the future.
Good luck!!!

It just so happens the M3 and 335 have the same 4.7 and 155 top end...the M3 does the quarter in the 12s vs 13s.

Motortrend just did a track test of the F and, again, matched the M3. The big difference: the F was loads of fun to drive.
