Default New IS (F)

the big question...buy one now, or wait untill the new one arrives...
if the new ISF is going to be anything like this...

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Secret-...-mini-GS-look/

very nice!

Although this is reason for concern..."A successor to the M3-challenging, 417bhp IS-F isn't completely ruled out, but unlikely in the current climate, say insiders."

Paul

have you driven the current one? if not, please make sure you hear what this beast sounds like past 4000rmps. I live in the here and know and right now this car is everything I've asked for. I missed the sexy v8 since my S4 days and I certainly don't know if the next IS would be a V8.

This. And even when it does get here, you'll have to decide if you like it better than the other cars that are out there for the same or similar price. If you know you like the IS-F now, get it now.

Don't wait for the next model to come out, because when that happens you will hear about the newer new model coming out then you'll tell yourself that you'll wait for that one, then you'll get stuck in a time loop forever!

All joking aside, the ISF is already a solid car. Do a quick search of the ISF being compared to the M3, C63 AMG, and even the GT-R along with other similar cars and you'll find that in most cases the ISF was the preferred car. It is obviously not the faster car or the most nimble, but in terms of luxury and reliability the F is very hard to beat.

Don't wait, get it now!

Buy it now and enjoy it then upgrade later if you like the new model when it finally comes out.

I would say go for it although that it slightly hypocritical as I personally am going to hold onto my 350 until the next gen comes out to see what they look/preform like.

I got mine now versus waiting. Odds are thie next one will be a TTV6 setup. I wanted the V8; and, as noted above, the sound of this engine above 4000 is outstanding. My little girls said, "COOL!!!!" when they heard it.

Don't bother waiting...it'll be a few years. We barely have rumors about about the next-gen ISF at this point. Even if they were to spring it on us it'll be a good year out at least.

A 2011+ ISF is ideal. With the added Torsen LSD, nifty LED headlights, improved suspension, and the updated gauges it's a fantastic car!

So true! The M3's high revving engine sounds wheezy and torqueless by comparison.

I really hope they don't get rid of the V8. I would hate to see them switch to a V6 turbo. That 5.0 is a beast.

Disagree. The M3 sounds awesome and easily kicks our *** on all accounts... besides daily-drivability.
