Funny. I know a guy in texas that sold his tturbo f. He then got a new genesis. He tried his best to be happy with it, Kept sending pics. Telling me about his street races. After a month he sold it. Said the tranny started to feel loose and he hated the looks he got when he told people he had a Hyundai. Know he is shopping for another f

lol wow Kevin. Was about to call Phil where you lived so I could knock some sense into you. haha I don't think I'd ever own a Hyundai personally but I do admit their exterior styling has drastically improved. Reliability is still questionable to me though and their brand doesn't hold the same weight as Lexus does.

Joking aside, I was seriously considering buying the 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track for a while. It seemed like a great bang for your buck but that idea was short lived -- research revealed issues with the transmission(s), poor steering feedback, and build quality issues.
The local dealership I went to was also a complete joke and it seems like Hyundai dealerships in general are not that great. The salesmen were very young and didn't know what they were doing. I walked out of there saying, "there is no way I'm doing business with those guys". And what about that warranty? In my research, I learned you have to put up an honest fight in many cases to get dealerships to honor warranty work. They try to categorize as much as they possibly can under wear-and-tear. Hyundai corporate apparently doesn't deal with dealership complaints either. So if your local dealer doesn't want to do warranty work for you or wants to charge you for it, too bad. You'll just have to take it to another dealer and try your luck there.
My brother had a rattling seat issue with his '08 IS F that was making him insane. He took it to his local Lexus dealership several times and it was never fixed. Out of frustration, he complained to Lexus corporate, who in turn contacted the Lexus dealership and slapped them on the wrist about it. They called my brother up, told him to take the car in and they fixed it once and for all. That's why Lexus is so awesome.

On paper the Hyundai almost looks good until I hit the curb weight. 454 pounds MORE than the F. I'd need two big passengers in the F just to even things up. Wow. I thought the F was a bit on the heavy side, but 4234 pounds is beyond heavy.

Hyundai is making nice progress. Certainly no Lexus by any stretch but a few of there models are not bad all things kept in perspective. I will say a person would be crazy to consider an R Spec for 48K when there are many choices for a beautiful slightly used F out there.......
As many people keep coming back to the same conclusion - the F has a heck of a lot to offer. A few tweaks here and there and .... BAM! :

if you drive your isf like a grandma most of the time, when you get on it, honestly, it feels like a rocket, lol. that's what i like most about this car. two personalities. it kind of scares me sometimes the way it moves
