Congrats on the upcoming wedding! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and joy. To have that someone special in your life is certainly a wonderful feeling, even though it won't be all blissful every second of every day you're together. But it's the commitment and honor you have to trust one another with your lives that makes this bond special. Don't consider it as you're losing half your F; you're gaining a lifemate, and if it means sharing everything, then so be it. Best of luck!

Don't let all the Cali boys scare you. The community property states are: Alaska (by agreement), Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. (In Alaska, spouses can sign an agreement making specific assets community property.)
Your car is yours, period.
In a community property state, once married, if you make payments on a car note for the car, the spouse has an interest equal to 50% of the payments made after the marriage date. I know a few things about divorce and property settlement in California. Don't AMHIK.
