They don't have all that many events but worth checking every now and then.
Well, this thread was worth it simply to get this information! How have I not heard of this track?! I followed that link, and it sounds interesting. It's definitely a heck of a lot closer to here than VIR, that's for sure. Maybe about half as far, actually. I will absolutely have to check that out next year. Thanks for the link!

I'm right there with you on the checking and trying to "beat your own score" I'm averaging about 17.4 since I picked the car up about 3 weeks ago. but then again I have a problem with wanting to hear the second intake open up at 4k RPM's which doesn't help... oh well

You didn't select that car for economy did you?

lol, I also do the same and leave it on tank average....I drive the car daily, commute in it M-F 50 miles around trip a day, mostly highway but all stop and go rush hour traffic. I've been averaging 20.7 mpg, with a couple of tanks averaging 21.8 (no traffic but hard on the throttle on the freeway entrances). I also try out out do my last tank each time, but I've pretty much accepted that this car is a V8 and whenever you get on the throttle, expect to see that number drop.

We didn't get the car for MPG but it's an added plus when you can get 26+ MPG on road trips from a 5.0L V8. I got 28 on a full tank once. After modding the exhaust it's a lot less only because I'm shifting at higher RPM's

I could be driving a dump truck, and if it had one of these gauges, I'd be watching it.

If you go WOT through a couple of gears, you can actually watch the mpgs drop. I once went from something like 19mpg average down to 17-something in about 30 seconds of being hard on the throttle.

On the way home after my header install, I ended up dropping my tank average down to 11.5. I have never been so happy to kill my gas milage

I too leave mine on tank avg. I'm constantly trying to see how we'll I can do. I have 11k on the car and my whole avg goes back and forth from 14.9-15.0. I feel good when my tank get better than 15. I'm 95% city although I did get 12.6 on the highway once. Don't ask. ; )

i do mostly 50/50 city & highway, and my avg mpg is 21.1.. imo, this is not too shabby for 400+ hp car, and my friend w/ gs430 is pretty impressed.. my tank avg ranges anywhere between 19 to 22 mpg including my spiritual driving .. it's funny how i would set it to temperature, but keep pressing the display to check my tank avg and avg mpg everyday..

Mine is also on this setting, but when I do look at tank avg, it sits between 19-20mpg (depending on season), with a bias towards city driving.
