lol, not lately. the road i live on have three police precincts all about 2 miles within each other which is odd so speeding is a no no around here. the freeway here is getting almost as bad as texas, a cop parked everty couple of miles. sucks.

I drove from Bay Area down to Santa Monica for a Thanksgiving road trip and averaged 23.3mpg with an average speed of 78mph. I cruised controlled at 88mph whenever I could and I opened it up a few times. Mental note for the trip was that it's not safe to cruise control at speeds above 80mph because those slow big-rigs come up on you too fast.

On the way back up, I cruised controlled at 75mph and averaged 68mph for the trip with 25.4mpg average. The car gets respectable milage if you don't romp on it. Cruise control at 70mph on a road trip over the summer gave me 27.8mpg. You can go 350-400 miles on a tank if you really want it.

From my 12 hr trip from MI to NC, I averaged 25.2 mpg on a tank and wanted to beat that the next tank....mission accomplished!! 25.4 mpg that next tank!! Lolol. This last tank, I'll keep the display with the "F" logo displayed.... :-)

I do about 80% city driving and most trips are about 7 miles. I've never seen above 16.5 unless I have a long highway drive in there. I pretty much baby it too so it's kind of sad.

Just do the opposite, see how low you can get the reading. Mine so far is 11.7 MPG.
- problem solved.

Love reading your responses. Yes gas prices are really low. Hurts us folk up in Williston from getting an ISF though. :/

Jspecvtec, I'm about the same lol, 92 octane ethanol free, joez and a is350 2way giken are just a few things that do not help... My buddies truck (in pic) has me on digs in a 1/8th mile but only falls behind a tad lol, he's running compound twin cummins, built trans and free flowing exhaust

If I was concerned about economy, I wouldn't have bought my F.

I never even look. Just did and it says 14.2 avg. lol Headed to the gym to destroy that number. lol

Buying a performance car with a 5L V8 and getting upset at the mpgs is like marrying a **** star and finding out your not her first. LMAO We all could have told you that!!

All jokes , aside.... I used to be more concerned with that on my LS, dont even look very often at all with the F. Its always bad. Best I ever had was 26.8 on a 3 hour drive to Inde Motorsports Ranch and the worst was 6.7 at my last track day. Gas in Zona is dirt cheap so Im SO not concerned. After 2 years I have accepted that this car eats tires and guzzles gas and I LOVE IT. My rear AD08Rs are already toasted after about 2500 miles. I spend easily +$3,000 a year on tires ( at least every 6 months ). With the tank so small and the tires so abused I have become aqaunted with my local gas stations , TireRack.com, and have become closer with my Discount tire sales people again. LMAO.
