Default Can't believe my quote!

Intake, headers and exhaust 18 hours labour!!! 15 alone on the headers because they have to drop the sub frame and then realign. I live in Alberta Canada. Now someone please tell me there's a mistake lol dealer was Lexus of Edmonton. I don't feel like dropping $2500.

I don't think there's many mechanics if any around here like that. Figures too headers yield the biggest power gains. Best I can do is try the next closest dealer.

dealer will always raped you with everything! especially with labor!! Time for you to look for a reputable mechanic shop around you. Def. should not cost you $2500 for them to install those 3 parts for you, even though headers would be a bit time consuming.

they must be factoring in a nice long lunch and a few breaks into that quote. That is crazy. Try to find a local independent mechanic that has worked on an F before.

I'm surprised that Lexus dealer was actually willing to install the headers for you. Most dealers wouldn't install any aftermarket parts unless their part department was selling them. Even then, they'd only install any aftermarket parts purchased from them. Anyway, good luck finding a reliable independent mechanic shop around you. My suggestion would be post up a thread in your region and ask the fellow forum members.

usually dealership has set hours on part installs in the computer.

try a shop that are familiar with headers swap. honestly, from looking under the car, the ISF looks a lot easier than a lot of cars including the 350z/g35, etc. but i still wouldn't want to do it, lol.

you guys gotta remember something...in different parts of the country, they charge different labor rates. Northern California charges $130 for hour labor at a dealer...here in socal, it's $116.

Supply & Demand....People charge what they want because they can. Which sucks because I need ammo for my AR15 and it's expensive as hell now.

These guys are very reputable and work on other Calgary IS F owner's cars on these boards.

3 hour drive from E-Town not that bad for quality and reputable company.

You could honestly do the intake yourself in maybe 30 min max taking your time. My Joe Z exhaust took my shop less than an hour. However the headers do take a full day to do.
