Default Just bought a few things for the F

I backed into a curb and broke the welds on the the chrome tips. I want to say thanks to sewells Lexus for having reasonable pricing. I decided to take advantage of shipping so I picked up front and rear pads cause I'm sure I will need the sooner or later, the rear drivers side bumper extension (tips) and a cargo net. Cost me $880 shipped to my door(to Canada). I want to say thanks to the Canadian market for screwing Canadians and forcing us to send our cash across the border. I went to Lexus (local dealer in Toronto) the next day to pick up a small item and decided to price out what I just bought. Total price was over $1600. Just unbelievable, thanks again to sewells Lexus.

Obby.... I think he said $800 for everything he bought, including the brake pads. I read everything too quickly the first time too, and thought the same thing you did at first.

Wow robbery! What is the justification for that high of a mark up?

All I can say is thank goodness for Sewell. Not only are they a vendor here, but they do offer some really good discounts for us CL members. A lot of members have nothing but praise for their service and unbeatable prices. You definitely saved yourself from forking over more from your dealer.

It's not just Lexus, it's everything. A Honda civic built 45 min away from me(aliston, ontario) cost more here to buy than when it crosses the border and sold in Michigan, Canadians pay a lot more for stuff than our neighbouring Americans. In the past when the dollar exchange was $1.50CAD/$1USD, the Americans were more than happy to sell us cars, now that the dollar is par with ours, it's illegal as an American dealership to sell a brand new car to a Canadian. The system is totally broken. There is no justification, Canadians are willing to pay the price cause we're a bunch of stupid sheep that move with the herd.
