You take it to a reputable asian smog shop if there is such a thing...LOL!
How many miles is on your car? Could be your transmission oil

My car havnet get smog check yet but i'm sure a couple of Benjamin will resolve that problem if u run into one

Haha reputable Asian smog shop yes we have a few I would say in south Sacramento .
I have 8600 miles give or take transmission oil huh

With the stock exhaust and JoeZ I've never really smelt anything. In other cars where I've removed cats I always could.

dont really need cats in CA unless you get a smog check notice, which you wont unless its a 2007. you dont do a smog until the car is 6 years old in california. and if you nee a smog just put them back. not a big deal.

The cat catalyzes (hence catalytic converter) harmful gases--notably carbon monoxide, to less harmful gasses. The harmful gasses (cat delete) are poisonous, but however, for the most part, odorless. This is why a car without cats smells less than one with them.
Odorless, yet deadly! ...(to an extent..)
