Yeah, no that's not how it works. You need to maintain a minimum of 40% on that gauge at ALL times. Anything less is getting into pump gas territory and you lose the detonation protection given by the ethanol.

So with u telling me I should’ve went full e85 instead of blend tune ?? Because it’s harder to keep up with the correct blend. Dam wish someone told me that before . So if I build it this time and go full e85 it should be more reliable ??

Theoretically yes because you are removing the human factor and only filling the tank with E85, which again is important to remember E85 can actually be anywhere from E51 - E85 out of the pump.

Mixing fuel relies on the fact that you are keeping exactly 40% or more ethanol content in the tank, at all times, with however much 93 octane you are filling it with, all the while taking into consideration what that gas station's Ethanol percentage actually is. So it might not always be exactly 6 gallons of 93 to 4 gallons of E85 or whatever the mixture comes out to be.

If your ethanol content drops you are basically running boost on 93 octane, a recipe for disaster.
