I personally take off the wheels off the car once a year and clean them by hand, then seal them.

Letting the brake dust sit there and cake on the wheels will damage the finish, and putting ceramic pads will cut on the braking performance.

If you read the back of the bottle it says let it sit for up to 2 hours. If i am not going anywhere why not let it sit for the max time they say. It is PH neutral so its not hurting anything. So why not?

IronX has been the only product that has cleaned the really, caked on dust the previous owner left the wheels.

Sonax user here as well. Works great for me and doesn't damage the finish.
