im pretty satisfied with my bridgestone re-11. they are actually pretty damn quiet, even worn down at the moment. lasted longer than i expected with the rating. hooked amazing when it's warm out. good tire. i might try the michelin super sports next since it's a a bit cheaper and heard it was very quiet and smooth and good in the rain.

Bridgestone RE11 owner here...i'm on my 3rd rear set. Great tires, good price, long life (35k for rear tires, 48k on front tires)

Michelin pilot super sports. Will never buy a different tire. Surprisingly they are actually pretty long lasting for being such soft tires. Downside 400+ a tire.

Default Tires

How long have you had it or approx. how many miles? Also, do you have stock sizes?

I've seen Michelin Sport and I kinda like the tread, pretty thick and big so I thought of getting 285/35/19 for the rear.

Currently I have Hankook's 275/35/19 Rear and 255/35/19 Front. The ride is smooth but it lacks the grip and I always spin when the gas hits the metal even when brand new.

From what I've read, the Michelin PSS is a Great tire, but it is not available in the 285/30/19 size that I run on the rear of my stock wheels. Most who upsize, run 275/30/19, and IMO, that's just a wee bit too small. The reviews on the Bridgestone S-04 have also been excellent and like the Michelin PSS are a Max Performance tire, suitable for summer only driving. I have been very pleased with mine.

^ This, if not super sports then just PS2's which are still good tires. My car came with PS2's from the factory.

RE-11 or PSS are your best daily drivable "performance tires"

if you want a little more wet weather usability, S-04

The PSS was rated as one of the better tires in rain.. providing very capable rain handling superior to many tires in the dry. The PSS is a successor to the PS2 which improved on PS2's rain capabilities but kept its performance in the dry as well as much higher treadwear.

As does the s04... On TireRack, they get almost identical reviews, especially for wet, with the S04 getting a tenth higher. I've driven both and prefer the S04 to the PSS in the wet, with the PSS being very similar to the Re11 in the dry...

My experience with the Continental DW, was not so pleasent, they developed a terrible sing at about 6K miles, I finally replaced them at 9K Miles. See this link, last post on page:

I've been running Vredestein Ultrac Sessenta's and like them more than the PS2's the car came with. They seem to have caught on now though because prices are steadily climbing for the same set I bought 2 years ago ($850 --> $1200 now.)

Thanks Lou - I saw your initial post on this at the time but ignored your warning. I have had no such issues on the street or at the track, but no longer use OEM rims...weather related or not.

I used the same sizing as you, and am also lowered. I also had near perfect tire wear across the tire surface....buts that's for debate in another thread I guess.....
