Who needs AWD, F was great
Took the F to go on my ski trip. It handled the snow great. It was only like a two inch super packed layer that was kinda of slippy but the F snow mode and traction control plus my Blizzak LM-25 and some logic made it handle just fine. Obviously you can't go flying around but the roads were some of the steepest and most tightly winding roads I have ever been on.

Nice, car looks great in the snow

Agreed, this car does snow just fine, as long as you use some common sense and caution. I had the LM-25s on my old F and LM-60's on the current one, and the snow hasn't stopped me yet.
BTW, what rear do you have on the car?

I was curious too, so I did a quick search based on the mods in his sig and came up with this: http://www.branew.us/lexus/is-f.html
I think the kit looks better on WReuroR's F than it does on the website!

I was a bit nervous myself coming from an STi, but our first snow here in the Niagara Region of Ontario Canada quickly put my fears to rest. Snow mode, the nannies LM-60s and a little common sense and I felt safe and secure. Didn't miss the STi at all.....truth be told I haven't missed it from the second I pushed that Start button about 2 months ago.

I would love AWD, but I don't want a heavier vehicle. Having said that, we just got 4 inches of snow and the Michelin PA4s are AWESOME!!!! I went with a square setup of 245 40 18s and I much prefer it over the LM25s. Of course, the LM25s had gone through 4 full winter seasons (5 months of each year) so my memory of the LM25s were when they only had 1/2 tread left LOL.
