Funny how at today's meet...we were talking about something, someone asked me...what's my name on Club Lexus... I tell them it's "Just F Me", and they automatically say "oh you're the one that broke the transmission"

if you are scared of tranny problems at 70k miles, i would trade in for a brand new car. most cars, that's the last thing i would even think about about 70k miles.

My tranny does it too. Occasionally it will do it from 1st to second when its cold. But it almost always does it from 4th to 5th while cold, but once it does it one time I can stop and try again and it won't do it again. Just the first shift of the cold start drive.

I wouldn't be so sure of this....automatic transmissions have a lot of stuff going on in there. I wouldn't say that it's the last thing, but an automatic transmission is bound to eventually fail.

Mine does something similar...from a cold start, once i get going, 1st into 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd always feel weird, but it only feels weird that first time. Once you come to a stop, it goes away....hmmm?

It always made me. Think that the valvebody was a little sticky on the first time engaging.

Yea that was funny. It was the slowest I've ever seen an ISF drive.

Yeah. When I first got F, I was scared cuz it felt like the tranny is slipping from 1st all the way to the 3rd gear in the morning. But whe once its warmed up it goes away. This just gives me more confidence with my F. I doubted it big time at first. Good thing this is norm. Thanks everyone.

A thermostat on and the transmission might help warm up. A larger oil to air cooler would be nice on the other end of things.

It's a good thing the F doesn't let you drive it hard in M mode when the engine is still cold. It would be nice if it didn't go past certain RPM's when cold.. I usually just drive around normally until it reaches 2 bars then I use M + sport.

This is what happens when the issue is very rare. The discussion is much bigger than what it is.

Not as rare though in the GTR forums which I have been perusing the past couple of days.
