Default What is a smoken deal on 2011 used headlights?

I have been browsing lots of junk yards for 2011 headlight assemblies and have found a couple pairs for $1200 ish? Is that fair? Would a grand for a set be as good as it gets? Is 800 for the pair dreaming? What is way to low to offer someone in the opinion of those who have done the conversion? Way to many smashed IS models out there to buy these new when they get smashed with 10k on the cars a lot of the time IMO.

The longer you can wait, the more options will be available and therefore the cheaper the price point. I'm going to wait til I can snag a set for under $1k. I'm in no rush though and would wait another year or two if I have to.

I'm in the same boat as you darbs. I've been browsing eBay every once in a while to catch a set of decently-priced headlights but all of them seem to have broken tabs or some kind of damage. But as vbb said more options should be available as time goes on. I believe Sewell will be having a headlight sale of some kind soon. Even on the CL classifieds every once in a while a member usually has one up for grabs at a great price, even though most of them are local pickups only.

Believe me those LED strips are beckoning to me each time I pass by every other new car that now comes with them.

So its safe to say 600-800 for a perfect set is a great price. I think i will be calling some junk yards and see if I cant get some wheeling and dealing going on will any IS headlight work 2011- and up? Or do you have to get a set out of a ISF? After changing the rear diff and if i do this im starting to wonder if i should have bought a 2011 and sold my 08... I like the gauge cluster a lot too in the new one, Its just I only have 46k on my F and just a few payments left to go.

Does not need to be out of an IS-F. Mine were out of a 2013 IS. Just remember you will have to wire the LEDs to come on if they are not from Sewell. You will also need the new flasher relay.

I thought I read in the 2nd gen forums that Sewell was having another sale in early February on headlights?
