Went to Powercruise over the weekend, which is a pretty epic day of motorsport held every few months here in Brisbane. I tried drifting for the ISF for the first time, simply great fun but street tyres a bit too grippy, need to put on skinnier tyres on the back to get it to slide more easily.

I don't think people have seen many Lexuses trying to drift, I got a few thumbs-ups and stares, and some comments, good and bad. In the first place, 99% of people don't even know what an ISF is, and most people still think that Lexus only makes luxury barges. The ISF almost never gets advertised on TV here in Australia, which is sad because it's such a great car.

It's nice to see the intrigue by those who don't know about Lexus' F divison. The IS F is a beast all around, and judging from the looks in some of your pics, they were pretty shocked. The red interior has such a nice, rich color to it. I really like the F floor mats.

Those that don't know the F lineup make it a fun day for me. Plenty of drivers here have learned that this is no "ordinary" Lexus. After I lite it up at the lite, and then come to a stop at the next one, I just happen to look over when they pull up and smile. Always wonder what they think now.....Freakin Priceless. I'm sure they are googling when the get to their destiniation.....:-)

Looks like a great event and I bet you learned A LOT about your car that day huh?! I probably would've ended up doing the same... getting thrown all around the track, spinning 180's... hard to control the throttle when the tires either want to slip too much or not enough. Thanks for sharing!

good times man! i took my F to the track a few weekends back out here and everyone was asking me what the deal was with my car lol cuz it sounded mean (straight pipes) and i was hanging with the mustangs and the older corevettes so people were amazed lol.
