Default The New and Improved Hide the Plate Set Up

So while my car was in getting repaired. I had the shop figure out a way to make the hide a plate fit into the front grille. They did a really good job. I just had to do a little bit of tweaking to get it the way I want it.

Those looking to have your plate hide to show your car and not get pulled. I dont think you can get much better than this.

That's sweet. Do you just have a switch? Could you set it up to go up when you turn the car on?

Yes I have a little remote control clicker. It works from probably 75 feet way. At our local cars and coffee I used to stand a little ways away from my car and just mess with people.

That adds to the transformer theme that my 6 year boys call my LS...it has so many moving parts, etc. If I had to have a front plate that would be on my mod list!!

Looks really good! How much cutting of the lower grille had to be done in order to make the mechanism fit into place?

That's how I fitted mine before I got a front lip. It did protect from a lot of driveway scraping, as it was the first thing impacted. I miss it, but it definitely looked a bit off.

its hardly noticeable though. i had it installed as far as it can go before it pops out..but like you said it protects me from so many driveway scrapes lol..now my plates all messed up and corner was bent!

by the ways, for those of you who had this hide away plate , do you guys get bad reception on the remote? i installed the box towards the front bumper somewhere..so i have to put my remote close in front in order to hide it....theres no reception in the car at all...so if i i wanted to pull it up or down while im driving, it wont happen

Yes I did had to cut it out of the grille. Also I have bottomed out a lot of times myself with it. You just have to bend it back and just mess with it to get It to work again.
