Anybody w this issue, i just installed my joez intake and afe drop ind and when i start up i get a check bsc and check engine ayone help dint have my scaner here!!!

 

Did you unplug your MAF sensor during install? If you did, then just make sure that its plugged back in correctly and try doing a battery reset. I didnt get any CEL when I did my install, and I didnt have to unplug anything. Give more details on how you did the install so the more knowledgable guys on here can better assist you. i got my scanner and erased the codes ran the car w no issues had a few codes rare ones related to the maf !!! and oil temp, also one bank ran lean??? , didnt disconect anything on the install

so far is running geat the joe z gets really hot thought

 

I have never seen anyone get a code from the JOE Z intake. So well done well done. I would have to agree its the maf sensor also.

 

did you leave any tools inside the airbox by accident? lol.

Yeah, afe drop in and joe z intake tube is a good 5 minute install.. to get a CEL, you'd have to actually try to get it.

 

is it an oiled AFE filter? i can see that oil messing up an o2 sensor.

 

if the oil through the maf damage an o2 sensor , never mind the motor is destroyed lol , no seriously you could be right is oiled i know what you ment

 

If it is an oiled filter that would just mess with the maf sensor. There is no way you could damage an 02 sensor. I suggest instead of you trying to take it apart and clean the maf that you allow someone else to.
