i agree with blitz. i had the same sound. usually in first gear in manual mode, if i stomp on the gas, it would sound like a supercharger belt whine until second gear. it was just the belt, it went away after changing it.

I dont drive my car hard and only notice it occasionally. This seems like a common problem and am surprised no one has mentioned it before. Have to get dealer to check it next service.
How often is timing belt supposed to be changed 100k? My car has only done 20,000km

FYI for All...
This "swooooosh" sound is mostly heard between WOT shifting from 1 - 2 - 3 gears...
I had the noise for a while.. First I thought tires... then maybe trans...
After I ruled out the trans, and tires (ran OEM Bridgestones, PS2's & Conti's)
I came to the belt conclusion..
The drive belt doesn't need to look old or cracked for it to make noise.. I attribute it to loss of grip, which causes the sound..
Some of you with low miles, might be experiencing the sound due to age...
My case was age + miles.. But it still looked very good!! ( a bit shiny )
The harder you run your car, the more likely the sound will show up sooner..
Here is a pic of when I changed mine in the below thread.

If it’s still making noise, it could very well be the “Tensioner Pulley” that has failed..
