to those who care..lol well replaced the studs and lugs and now the car rides much smoother, and just got a call from lexus that the whining noise is actually the left rear wheel bearing, which is indeed covered under the powertrain warranty...

This is good news for you

BTW...you really should think of a more useful title. no wonder people who use the SEARCH function can't find anything.....all these super vague titles...

I get about 100-150 emails a day...a bunch of them are titled "question", "media", "recommendation" WTF....super pet peeve...LOL

Just F me...I will put more thought in my titles from now on. I just was very happy to find out this was covered. also lexus says they cant install satelitte reciever in a car that didnt come with one. I thought i have seen people on here who have actually done this at a lexus dealership. any input on this would be great

What year is your car? Why wouldn't it be covered? 4 years, 50k miles, it covers everything. Powertrain such as engine, transmission, is covered by 70k miles. Shouldn't be a surprise to you at all to be honest. Lexus has that kind of reputation.

Also, what are you talking about a satellite receiver? Like....Sirus XM satellite radio?

especially when i asked the young lady if it was covered, and shes like "maybe" and then laughs and says of course it is, well take car of you...this family of dealerships always has taken care of me. driving by the bentley and porsche part always makes me drool a bit though. and note to self....when pulling out infront of traffic in a new is250 awd, think twice cus that thing has less power than my kids hotwheels barbie mustang...lol

Glad your car is on the road to recovery...

You may just want to continue your updates in the thread(s) where you address your initial concerns..

Ex: Need Some Advice

^^ Because usually when a car has aftermarket wheel studs.. It means it was running spacers..

Want to take guess why that rear wheel bearing failed ???? LoLz

Luckily, his dealership was kind enough to honor a warranty calim..

^^^Again...no idea what happened before. Yeah....aftermarket wheel studs and spacers change the load on the bearing which then causes failure...really lucky the dealer took care of it...lol
